Business Travel Accident

The Business Travel Accident (BTA) coverage is an optional program available to the member districts. The coverage is group-purchased through AIG Life and provides Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) for business related travel only, for district managers and other designated individuals and trustees whose names are on file with the VCJPA. The limit of coverage is $150,000 and there is no deductible.

Group Fidelity/Crime

The Group Fidelity/Crime Program is an optional group-purchased insurance program which reimburses an employer for loss of money, securities, or other property resulting from the dishonest acts of an "employee" or failure of a covered "employee" to perform duties as prescribed by law up to the limit of the policy, which is $1,000,000. In addition, it also provides coverage for losses caused by third parties such as theft of money or securities, loss due to forgery of checks and other instruments, acceptance of counterfeit currency, and fraudulent transfer of funds from district bank accounts. The insurance has a $5,000 deductible.

Employee Assistance Program

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is an optional program of the VCJPA purchased through Managed Health Network (MHN). The EAP provides employees of the member districts with benefits inclucing clinical counseling and life management services. In addition, telephonic life management services are available to help employees deal with a wide variety of daily life issues including childcare, eldercare, financial and legal services, and identity theft recovery services.
